2007- 2022 In Portugal I have focused on projects collaborating with communities and exhibiting in outdoor spaces which are linked to the people I am photographing. To do this has meant learning to print onto different surfaces including wood and stone.
2000-2004 - São Paulo, Brazil. To teach young people photography in the favelas for the NGO ‘Meninos do Morumbi’. 4 years doing extra-ordinary work making our own cameras, Imparticular pinhole, and as a result winning sponsorship from Kodak with sheet film and paper for our pinhole cameras, due to the incredible quality of all the kids work.
1993-2000 - I began photographing in 1993 in London in theatre, social documentary and portraiture.
I have worked for OXFAM and UNICEF and the British Council in countries including Sao Tome and Principe, South Africa, and Ethiopia.
I also write, perform and have a passion for gardening, animals, the outdoors and all things green :)
